BodyBuilder Profiles

Name: Ryan Croft

Age: 24

Years training: 3 or 4 years, 6 months seriously

Reasons for lifting:

Ryan developed a disease as a child that affected his ball and socket joints in his legs. He was inspired to fight his misfortune after watching Stallone and Schwarzenegger films and wanting to own a physique like theirs.

Now at 24, he's getting strict with his diet and training and hasn't ruled out stepping onto a bodybuilding stage one day!

Heroes: Arnie and Sly

Ryan says: "To be rather than to seem' is my motto!"

Ryan lifting monster dumbells with controlled form, not an easy thing to do!

With a combination of structured regular meals of quality food, along with good hard training, Ryan has packed on a stone and a half of lean muscle in only 6 months!

Incline presses on a smiths machine isolates the chest and focuses particularly on the upper pectorals.

A full extension and peak contraction of the pecs is one of the reasons that Ryan has managed to pump his chest up to such a large size so quickly.

Incline barbell presses with free weights recruit secondary muscles as well as the primary ones.

It's great to have a spotter standing by, just in case!
