BodyBuilder Profiles

Name: Peter Rotherham

Age: 63

Years training: 45!

Reasons for training:

Peter had asthma as a child and took the doctor's advice to exercise. Nearly 50 years later, he's still at it, and continually puts the younger men in the gym to shame with his incredible bodyweight routines and heavy lifting under strict control!

Heroes: Charles Atlas and Donald Duck

Peter says: Always exercise genuinely with proper form and control. None of this half-rep, overly spotted nonsense...

Dumbell flyes with perfect form.

I forgot to get a profile photo of Peter so I'll do that as soon as I see him again!

Avery difficult exercise this, Peter uses his core strength to hold his legs rigid, then performs strict pull ups at a steady speed. Try it, but you have been warned!

100kg machine shrugs

Heavy dumbell deadlifts are harder to perform than barbell deadlifts as the two 'bells call the smaller anciliary muscles into play to help steady the movement.

Machine shrugs add meat to the traps, you only have to look at Peter's for proof!
